Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is an alternating polymer of vinylidene fluoride. It is a partially fluorinated high-performance thermoplastic featuring strong chemical resistance to strong acids and oxidants, high solubility in polar solvents, UV resistance, and a wide thermal operating range: −40°C to 150°C.

Food use: Certifiability for food contact

Chemical use: Good general chemical resistance

Electrical use: Insulating behavior

Outdoor use: Resistance to weathering and aging

Mechanical use - abrasion: Tensile strength, abrasion resistance

Resistance -40: permissible thermal resistance (long term)

Resistance +150: permissible thermal resistance (long term)
