Cat: High-Performance Polymers

p.s. = 2,3

Fluorinated polymer widely known by the trade name Teflon. Thanks to its excellent chemical, electrical, and thermal properties, PTFE has been extensively used for years. It has an extremely low coefficient of friction—essentially a solid lubricant. However, its use as a mechanical part (e.g., guides) is not recommended due to poor resistance to compression, creep, and wear, even under light loads.

Available in modified versions with glass, mineral, or metallic fillers.

Food use: Certifiability for food contact

Chemical use: Good general chemical resistance

Resistance -200: permissible thermal resistance (long term)

Resistance +250: permissible thermal resistance (long term)
